The Salutation is a historic and luxurious Grade I listed house in Sandwich, designed in 1912 by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Having worked for many years and on a wide variety of projects for the new owners of the house, Rise was delighted to be asked to run a viability study into whether the house could be successful if it were to be re-opened as a venue. The gardens of the house had previously been open to the public and the house itself was run as a hotel for many years. The new owners bought the house as a family home but wanted to explore the possibility of using just the gardens for weddings and parties.
Rise undertook research into nearby venues, spoke to wedding planners, photographers, caterers and event services companies and prepared a detailed feasibility study.
Following the study, the decision was made to launch the gardens as a venue and Rise were tasked with building a stylish and informative website. The look and feel was very important. Owners Matt and Stacy wanted to capture the romantic and high class nature of The Salutation. We developed keyword rich, but elegant and refined website content to match the venue’s luxurious and exclusive character. We commissioned a photographer to take some new shots of the exterior of the house that would become the backdrop to the garden events.
“We have read through the wording for the website and it is extremely good, we think you captured everything fantastically well. As the lead writer we were totally in your hands and are incredibly pleased with the wording.”
