10th anniversary of National Fish and Chip Day 2025 smashes all previous years!

We always hoped the 10th anniversary of National Fish and Chip Day would be a celebration like no other in the food industry…. but even we were bowled over by the scale and positivity around this momentous day! We are confident in saying the day has become a cultural phenomenon!
In the days and weeks leading up to the day, the buzz began with the media, shops and sponsors turning up in force, making the 2025 celebration louder, more ambitious, and more vibrant than ever before.
From a letter from The King, to multiple MPs supporting their local chippy’s after we wrote to each of them, to a great slot on This Morning making the ultimate fish butty, to no less than 10 shout outs on BBC Radio 2, a collab with Chip Shop Diva and a handshake for Jo from Vernon Kay (you’ll be pleased to hear she has finally washed her hand and nearly every single regional TV and radio station featuring the day – it was relentless for the Rise team, in the best possible way!
There was a positivity we haven’t seen on such a scale before. So many amazing fish and chip shops went all out to be part of the day – they are the unsung heroes who make it such an incredible event!
Rise has looked after the PR for National Fish and Chip Day since it all began in 2015, so this 10th anniversary was very special and we threw EVERYTHING at it!
The relationships we have build with journalists and producers over the years paid off and the results (see above) blew even us away!
